5-MW reference turbine gearbox drawing details

Dear Jason Jonkman,

In the paper below, only the masses of the gearbox gears are provided, but I was unable to find any specific technical drawings in the NREL report as well. There are geometric specifications for the gearbox components and their masses but no others. When I draw them in AutoCAD Fusion software, I see there are dramatic deviations in some masses given by Fusion and the masses in the paper. Could you please share any document or 2D or 3D drawing file for the reference gearbox showing more detailed data?

Dear @IbrahimHalil.Yilmazm,

The details of the gearbox were never part of the original specification for the NREL 5-MW baseline wind turbine. There are papers–such as the one you cite–that provide details after the fact, but I was not involved in these works and don’t have specific knowledge about them. You’ll have to make your own assumptions for your own purposes or reach out the authors of these other works.
