Hub and nacelle geometry

Dear dr.Jonkman

I’m currently trying to create a 3D AutoCAD model of the 5-MW NREL reference wind turbine and I was looking for the geometrical properties of the RNA. I have been checking the technical report NREL/TP-500-38060, but as I noticed there is no full geometrical properties of the hub and nacelle. I don’t know if this lack of information is on purpose or not, but if it is possible, I would be glad if you help me figure them out or give me some advice on how can I access to the full geometrical properties of the hub and nacelle.

Dear Ali,

These information are not available in the NREL 5-MW baseline wind turbine specifications report. You’ll have to make your own assumptions for your own purposes.
