This is my first time using WT_Pert, and as I look at the output for BED file, I tried to calculate the lift and drag of the blade per each section. I am using section lift =.5*p*v^2*Cl*c and same thing for drag with Cd.
The result doesn’t match with the lift distribution theory as at the tip end of the blade, the lift force seem to be very high, instead of dropping to zero.
I wonder if the Loss column does take this into account?
Is AlfaD = angle of attack?
For the thrust/length and torque/length column, does the length refers to the radial length corresponding to the section?
Does the software have the pitching moment result of the blade?
