Running FAST.Farm with Simulink Controller in OpenFAST-input file (ServoDyn: control mode = 4)

Dear Community,

I would like to use FAST.Farm with an OpenFAST turbine model which includes a linkage to a controller in Simulink (defined in the ServoDyn file).
Is there a way to run FAST.Farm with theat type of turbine model or is it only possible with another setting in the ServoDyn file?
I am not sure, if this was discussed somewhere before but I have only found discussions about running FAST.Farm direcly in Simulink, like OpenFAST with the S-function. But this is not what I intend to do.

Maybe someone already has experiences with it.
Thanks in advance.

Dear @Soeren.Link2,

NLR has not yet developed an interface between FAST.Farm and Simulink. You must currently choose a controller different from PCMode, VSContrl, HSSBrMode, YCMode, AfCmode, and CCmode equal to 4 within the ServoDyn input file of each OpenFAST wind turbine model.

Best regards,

Dear @Jason.Jonkman ,

ok, thanks for the information.
Is there some good experience with converting the Simulink controller into a discon DLL?
I know for example about a github repo from TUDelft to compile a Bladed style DLL from Simulink to use it in OpenFAST.

Best regards

Dear @Soeren.Link2,

I’ve heard of this Simulink to DISCON conversion process from TU Delft, but I have no experience with it myself. Hopefully someone else on this forum can comment.

Best regards,
