Hi all,

I’m setting up a new FASTLink model. Latest version from here: orcina.com/Support/

I am getting the following error: The user-defined platform added mass matrix is unsymmetric. Make sure PtfmAM returned by UserPtfmLd<> is symmetric. Aborting FAST.

I can’t seem to spot the differences between my earlier FASTlink models. Bar updated version of OrcaFlex v10.1, and a slightly different set up: New AQWA model etc, mooring lines etc. The set-up process seems to be the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Chris,

You might want to contact Orcina directly. If the only changes are an updated version of OrcaFlex as you suggest, then a bug might have crept in on their end. I could be wrong but I think they are maintaining FASTLink rather than NREL. If i’m wrong , hopefully someone will correct me.

If you have not luck with Orcina, then maybe post more information here, such as the version of FAST you are using.
