I intend to study fixed OWT’s modeled in DNV’s USFOS. So far i have been running uncoupled analyses after extracting time-series of loads from FAST. Has FAST been coupled with USFOS?

Dear Abhinav,
I’m not aware of any coupling between FAST and USFOS; certainly NREL has not developed one.
If you didn’t already know, the recently released FAST v8 is now able to model the coupled aero-hydro-servo-elastic response of fixed-bottom offshore wind turbines, including multi-member substructures (e.g., tripods and jackets). FAST v8.08.00c-bjj is available from: wind.nrel.gov/designcodes/simulators/FAST8/.
