WISDEM precomp/beamdyn transformation

Dear All,

I am currently looking into the methods and tools to obtain beamdyn properties. I am aware that tools such as VABS, BECAS, and pyNuMAD are among the more widely used methodologies, however when coming across an update from the WISDEM package, there is a methodology to estimate the properties of beamdyn from precomp outputs, as follows:

May I ask if there is perhaps any documentation or published work regarding this method of estimation for further understanding?

I’m not the one who wrote WISDEM, and I haven’t checked all of the details, but the equations look similar to what is available in the OpenFAST Toolbox to convert cross sectional beam properties from one coordinate system to another.
