Simulation error while simulating extreme yaw case

You haven’t really supplied enough information on your model setup to respond. What floating wind system are you simulating? Is the rotor operating? What is meant by LC1, LC2, and LC3?

I’m sorry for not providing enough information. I am using the OC4 5MW FOWT. LC (Load Case) #1 and LC #3 correspond to high wind speed conditions, both exceeding the rated wind speed. LC #2 corresponds to a 10 m/s condition. In the above simulations, the wind turbine is operating in all cases.

I’m not sure, but perhaps this is driven by gyroscopic loads induced by the combination of platform pitch and rotor rotation. I would expect platform pitch to be impacted by rotor thrust, whose mean is higher at rated than at higher wind speeds for an operating rotor.
