Simple question. If I yaw a wind turbine in openFAST, does yawing the wind turbine clockwise correspond to a negative yaw angle and yawing anticlockwise correspond to a positive yaw angle?

That is correct, assuming your descriptions of clockwise/anticlockwise are as viewed from above. In OpenFAST, positive yaw is a positive rotation about the vertically pointing z axis, which is anticlockwise when viewed from above.
