Have any of you done or heard of vibration analysis on nacelle? Basically the idea is it to able to detect a fault in the nacelle (eg: main bearing failure, generator bearing failure) base on the vibration data provided by the vibration tac (TAC84 - detect vibration of nacelle). In another words, base on the vibration data we should be able to tell that there is a high possibility something is wrong in the nacelle so that the component can be repaired proactively (predictive maintenance).
Currently, I’m creating vibration (downwind, lateral, wideband) vs wind speed of a few neighbor turbines to compare with. I’m not sure if I’m on the right track, I need some guidance from all of you. Any input is high appreciated. Thank you!
