load of mooring line

Hello,

Could anyone tell me how to get loads of the mooring lines from FAST 8 ?
The model I used is OC3Hywind, I didn’t find any information about the mooring line load from the User’s Guide.

Dear Cheng.Zhang,

I assume you are using Test24 from the FAST v8 CertTest, which is a model of the NREL 5-MW turbine atop the OC3-Hywind spar. This model uses MAP++ to model the mooring system (quasi-statically). In MAP++, the mooring line fairlead and anchor tensions can be output by specifying the “tension_fair” and “tension_anch” flags in the MAP++ input file (in fact, they are already set in the Test24 example, and so, these line loads are already written to the output file of Test24).

I found that T and T_a in the outlist represent fairlead force and anchor force respectively. It is always there, but I never take notice of them… :blush:
