Generation of a custom wind for OpenFast

Hello and thank you for the acception in the forum.

I am currently working at the laboratory of the UTT (France) for my internship and my subject is to discover OpenFAST and provide data and documentation to the researchers.

Is it possible by using TurbSim or maybe I have to use MatLab ?

I followed the description and could simulate a wind ramp.

Dear @Hugo.Bontemps,

I agree with @Heike.vonWaaden’s response. Use simple user-written uniform wind data files for simulating deterministic wind events and gusts (WindType = 2 in InflowWind) and use TurbSim for simulating full-field turbulent inflow (WindType = 3).
