Dear Jason,
I notice difference in the input files like distributed blade properties (elastodyn and aerodyn) for WP1.5MW between, what is reported in nrel.gov/docs/fy18osti/67667.pdf and what is given in the OpenFAST r-test WP Baseline, especially near root. I have attached a copy of both herewith. Similar differences are observed in the tower elastic properties too. Is it safe to assume that these differences are not significant if the objective of the analysis is to compare performance of two different control algorithms? Could you please explain rationale behind these changes? Thanks.
Regards,
Kumara

Dear Kumara,
Can you clarify what differences you are seeing? The two files you attached to your prior post appear to be identical.
Best regards,
My apologies, Jason. I have uploaded the same file twice. Please refer to them now. The mass density, stiffness etc. are different.
Regards,
Kumara
Dear Kumara,
I see a very small difference in the rounding, but the plots look identical for StrcTwst, BMassDen, FlpStff, and EdgStff. The AeroCent appears to be different between the two files, but this column is not used with AeroDyn v15 anyway. I can’t explain these small differences, but they do not seem to be very important anyway.
Best regards,
Dear Jason,
Thank you for your response. I shall proceed with the data provided with the r-test as baseline, and revisit incase of any surprises in the results.
Regards,
Kumara
