Dear Jason,
I would like to use Numad to generate blade data for OpenFAST in Ubuntu 16.04, but stuck at PreComp and BModes. I would be pleased if you would give me some hints regarding three questions:
-
I downloaded BModes from old-NWTC repository, ‘cmake’ apparenty did its job, but ‘make’ failed at NWTC_IO.f90 missing SysSubs.mod (OpenFAST itself was compiled successfully, and it is working seamless)
-
I can’t find PreComp on old-NWTC repository. Is it accessible?
-
I have got the source of the earlier versions (BModes v1.03.01 26-Sep-2007 M. Buhl, G. Bir and PreComp 1.00.04 09-Nov-2012 RRD). Are they still compatible with OpenFAST?
Thank you in advance!
Balazs
Dear Balazs,
Regarding (1), I would guess your version of the NWTC Library is newer than what BModes is expecting. Which version of BModes are you trying to compile; is it 1.03.01? Can you compile with the old version of the NWTC Library found here: drive.google.com/file/d/1bMAxpl … sp=sharing?
Regarding (2) and (3), from (3) it sounds like you have newest version of PreComp. These versions of BModes and PreComp are still compatible with OpenFAST.
Best rgards,
Dear Jason,
I am trying to compile BModes v3.00.0 (including “officially” NWTC_Library_v1). Now I tried to compile it with the “old” NWTC_Library you linked, but no success yet. I am still working on it.
I am very pleased for the support,
Balazs
Dear Balazs,
Hopefully BModes v3.00.00 can use the same version of the NWTC Library that I shared with you in my previous post.
Best regards,
