Is hub center of mass located at the same position of rotor apex?

Dear developers:

As I have read two different definitions of overhang:

One said overhang is distance directed along the shaft from the hub center to the yaw axis
The other said overhang is distance directed along the shaft from the rotor apex to the yaw axis

So I want to know if hub center of mass is located at the same position of rotor apex in OpenFAST

Regards,
Ran

Dear @Ran.Tu,

I’m not sure where you read each definition, but it is likely that “hub center” and “rotor apex” were used interchangeably. The hub center of mass is specified in ElastoDyn (input HubCM) as an offset along the shaft from the rotor apex to the hub center of mass.

Best regards,
