Dear Purushotham,
Looking at the source code at line 120 of FAST_Prog.f90 within FAST v8.16, it looks like the code is crashing when attempting to write a check point file. I’m not sure what is causing the error, but if you have no need for checkpoint/restart capability, ensure that input ChkptTime in the primary FAST input (*.fst) file is set to a value larger than TMax.
Best regards,
Dear Jason,
After following your advice the simulation ran for greater than 1000 seconds but stopped at 1149 seconds showing the following output
and the corresponding turbsim input is
and the corresponding testfile is
if i increase the hub height to 150 i get a different error
Kindly tell me as soon as possible what is going wrong
Dear Purushotham,
Two of your four images are not showing up, but the error reported in you first image is similar to the discussed above and many times within this forum. That is, analysis nodes in FAST cannot exceed the boundaries of the data in the wind file. Either your wind domain is not big enough to encompass the wind turbine, including its deflections, or the deflections are extraordinary due to some numerical problem.
Best regards,
Dear Jason,
I have fixed that problem now, kindly reply to my post on free decay test and natural frequency also jason i would like to how accurate is my frequency response, And also jason how can i represent the effect of the platform on the wind turbine tower graphically, i mean what parameters can i use to define this, kindly revert back as soon as possible.
